ToolsOnAir Ready for Snow Leopard

Austria, Vienna 28 August 2009.....ToolsOnAir Broadcast Engineering announced today that its entire suite of broadcast applications are fully supported under Apple's MAC OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), now shipping.

ToolsOnAir's just: Broadcast Suite takes full advantage of some of the new technologies found in Snow Leopard. The company’s just:in Quicktime-based ingest solution uses Snow Leopard's Grand Central Dispatch to optimize the use of multiple cores available on modern computer processors. This enables just:in to perform faster-than-real time video encoding, using a wide range of compression codecs.

ToolsOnAir's just: products deliver a full suite of broadcast solutions, offering multi-channel live ingest, powerful automation, video servers and real time graphics, all running on standard Mac hardware utilizing common off-the-shelf video cards from companies including AJA Video and BlackMagic Design.

ToolsOnAir's just:live and just:play play out solutions offer seamless integration of video and multiple graphics layers on a single Mac Pro or Xserve in real time - even HD video. And as the OpenCL standard continues to develop, ToolsOnAir's products are ideally positioned to take advantage its ability to further accelerate real time graphics and effects.

The announcement of the launch of Snow Leopard on August 28 allowed ToolsOnAir to be among the first developers to show their products running under Mac OS X 10.6 at the September 2009 IBC conference and exhibition in Amsterdam.
