• Apple ProRes (MOV) - hardware accelerated on Apple silicon for Progressive fields only!

• Avid DNxHR (MXF) - is subject to CPU encoding

• H.264 (MP4 and MOV) - hardware accelerated on Apple silicon (performance depends on the number of available media engines on Apple silicon)

• HEVC-H.265 (MOV and MP4) - hardware accelerated on Apple silicon (performance depends on the number of available media engines on Apple silicon)

Color Space

Just In Mac Pro 2026 will not convert any color space information, but will sense the color space information of the incoming signal and use it for the recordings accordingly.
